Are you an emotional eater? A stressed eater? A bored eater? Do you eat to self-soothe or distract? Do you eat mindlessly? You aren't alone.
For many of us, emotional eating can get in the way of creating a life worth living.
Beginning April 1, 2015 we'll start together on a self-directed journey that is designed to help us gain control of this area in our lives. We'll be working with two books to guide us through the process:
• End Emotional Eating: Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills to Cope with Difficult Emotions and Develop a Healthy Relationship with Food
• 50 Ways to Soothe Yourself without Food
For six weeks, we'll learn more about using skills from dialectical behavior therapy to accept and change the behaviors associated with emotional eating. The course-work includes weekly activities, homework assignments, and writing prompts. All participants are encouraged to work at a pace that is comfortable to them.
This course is open to persons recovering from borderline personality disorder, family members, and mental health professionals. Questions? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The cost is just $29. You can sign up here today.
